Three Videos Every Baltimore Business Should Have

If you’re getting ready to take the plunge into the world of video marketing, you might find yourself confused about what videos will market your Baltimore based business the best. It’s fairly simple to fall into the trap of seeing a new shiny object and wanting to dive head first off the deep end of the pool but video marketing should be strategic and in our opinion simple (much simpler than you think!).

There are tons of videos that can be created to help you land more clients and customers or for the non-profit to help gain donors and awareness in your industry. The three videos that we recommend most are a promotional video, a customer testimonial video and some sort of social media content whether that is posted on a YouTube channel or to a Facebook Fan Page.

The promotional video (sometimes called a video business card) does exactly what you think. It promotes your business, product, service or non-profit. It’s one of the most important videos anyone can make and it’s a big reason why you see our video front and center on the homepage. Fun fact – did you know that placing a video on your front page of your website helps you build search engine optimization with Google? This means you get brownie points just for putting a video about your business on your homepage.

Google wants to see that you’re making your organization’s message clear and concise to people who visit your website so they reward you by helping with a tiny boost in the rankings for the search results.

The customer testimonial video is a simple but effective video that any videographer with great interviewing skills can conduct. The testimonial in our opinion answers three basic questions. Those questions are:

  1. What was life like before hiring this company to help you solve your problem?
  2. How effectively was the problem solved and what was your experience like in working with the company?
  3. What is your experience like now that the problem is solved and would you recommend the company/product/service you bought to others?

There are more questions that I would typically ask during an interview but this is a basic outline of the three answers every testimonial should have.

Last but not least is the social media content for your website or social media pages. This content can be created in one session and dripped throughout the year to your Facebook pages, email list and blog posts on your website. You can also come into our studio every month or quarter to create new content. We recommend keeping these videos short to about one minute and the whole goal is to keep pushing content out to your audience so that you stay on the top of their mind.

If you’re looking for a videographer based in Baltimore with a studio who can handle all three of these videos for your organization or business, please don’t hesitate to contact us to learn more!
